“Being 100% comfortable around someone is rare but beautiful when you find it” – Tiwa Savage says after partying with Wizkid.

After social media users failed to relinquish the idea that Tiwa Savage may be dating her colleague, Wizkid, she’s had something to say moments after they were spotted partying together.

Though, Tiwa days back, made their relationship clear after she gave a shoutout to Wizkid, calling him, her ‘bestie’, but then, users on social media aren’t satisfied with that “shoutout” as they all want more than a shoutout from her, to prove that she’s indeed not sleeping with Wiz.

Recently, after partying together, the songstress who was involved in a kinda controversy in the just concluded headies after it was announced that her colleague, Yemi Alade won an award even though it was her name that appeared on the screen, shared something quite interesting on her social media page.

Tiwa Savage said the experience of finding someone you’re comfortable with is though rare, but quite beautiful and safe when one finds it.

This got fans wondering who she possibly be ‘comfortable’ with – with her recent escapades with Wizzy, it’s only right to speculate yet again that he’s this ‘someone’ she’s ‘comfortable’ with.

Tiwa wrote,

“British Women Did Not Own Properties, But Igbo Women Could Trade And Own Properties” – Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie On Saturday, April 21st, 2018 gave the keynote speech titled ‘Igbo ku Igbo’ at the 7th annual international Igbo conference where she shared candid stories about the Igbo pre-colonial history. The conference theme was Memory, Culture and Community: Remembering the past, Imagining the future.

In her talk, she shared her personal experiences and stories about the Igbo precolonial history and culture. Adichie layed emphasis on preservation of the Igbo culture and the remarkable strength and dignity of Igbo women.

One major highlight of the writer’s speech was the Nigerian British Women comparison. “British Women did not own properties. British women were in fact property themselves and were supposed to be at home protected and not seen as autonomous beings who could make decisions about their lives. Igbo women, on the other hand, were traders and they could own properties, this was understandably alarming to many of the British and I think it explains many changes that happened in Igbo land.

The Nigerian writer, speaker and activist also spoke about Nollywood’s misrepresentation of the Igbo culture; “A lot of their representations of Igbo culture are not only spectacularly inaccurate but really comical. So if there is anyone here who is involved in Nollywood, please go to the village and ask the real questions, or even just look at archives and see pictures of what people were like before…. I mean, there is no need for imagoommaduadika’mmanwu

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie ended her session by saying “We Igbo people need to create and recreate our history, this time, not in the service of colonialism but in the service of our dignity”.

Liverpool FC

Jürgen Klopp wants to add depth to Liverpool’s squad this summer. The Reds, who this week booked a place in the Champions League final, have already sealed a deal for Guinea midfielder Naby Keita to join the club from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig on July 1.

Klopp expects to do further business to build on a season that could conclude with a second successive top-four finish in the Premier League and a ticket to compete in Europe’s elite tournament again.

“Naby has the quality to have a big effect on the team immediately when he arrives. He is not playing the World Cup so he will have a full pre-season with us, which will help him a lot,” said the manager.

“We will probably sign a couple more players in the summer because we need more depth in the squad.

“To bring in players who are 200 per cent better than what we have will be difficult but we had a problem when [Philippe] Coutinho left and Adam Lallana and then Emre Can became injured.

“You can never remove all injury risk and the boys still did brilliantly, but of course we will try to strengthen the squad because that’s how it is.”

Fraud Trial Of FirstNation Airline Chief Stalled

BEVERLY HILLS, May 07, (THEWILL) – The absence of a witness of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Monday

BEVERLY HILLS, May 07, (THEWILL) – The absence of a witness of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Monday stalled the N1.7 billion fraud trial of Kayode Odukoya, the Managing Director of FirstNation Airline.

NAN reports that FirstNation Airline and Bellview Airline are joined as second and third defendants in the suit before an Ikeja Special Offences Court.

At the resumption of proceedings on Monday, Zainab Ettu, the EFCC Prosecutor, informed the court that the first prosecution witness was absent.

“We regret to inform the court that we are not prepared.

“The first prosecution witness that we were supposed to call was outside Lagos as at yesterday.

“I was in the office till 6.00 pm and he was not yet in Lagos. He is in town today but I told him not to bother.

“When I knew we could not go on today, I sent the defence a message,” she said.

Responding, Olawale Akoni, Mr Odukoya’s lawyer, expressed disappointment with the development.

“I got a message from the prosecution, I find this development a bit strange but I would not be commenting,” he said.

Mr Akoni, in his submission, also told the court that the defence had filed a notice of preliminary objection dated April 30 opposing the suit.

Mr Odukoya, through is lawyers, is seeking two orders: an order striking out the charge and an order discharging the defendants of the charges filed against them by the EFCC.

The grounds on which the preliminary objection are filed are that the court lacks jurisdiction to hear the charge with n0. ID/239C/2012 and that the charge contravenes Sections 77, 249 and 252 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Law (ACJL).

According to the defence, Section 249 of the ACJL stipulates that the prosecutorial authority before the High Court of Lagos State shall be exercised only in the name of “The State of Lagos.”

The defence via the preliminary objection is also claiming that the information contained in the charge is incompetent and that charge is an abuse of court process.

NAN reports that the EFCC alleged that Odukoya committed the offences of forgery, use of false document and perjury on March 21, 2013.

According to the prosecution, the defendants forged a Memorandum of Loss of a Lagos State Certificate of Occupancy registered as No. 33 at page 33 volume 1011 at the Lagos State Land Registry, Alausa, Ikeja, in order that the document be acted upon as genuine.

The forged document was in respect of a property located at Number 29, Oduduwa St., Ikeja GRA, Lagos.

Mr Odukoya is also alleged by the EFCC to have used the false document and also gave false information on oath, concerning the loss of the certificate of occupancy at the Lagos State Land Registry.

The anti-graft commission also said that on October 7, 2016, Mr Odukoya stole and dishonestly converted to his own use N1.7 billion belonging to Skye Bank.

The offences violated Sections 85, 86(1), 278 (1), (b), 285, 361 (1),(a), (b), 363 and 364 (1) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2011.

Justice Mojisola Dada adjourned the case until May 21 for continuation of trial.
