Vocal powerhouse, Omawumi drops the video for her collaboration with Kizz Daniel titled “Me Ke“.

This would be Omawumi‘s latest effort since her applaud-worthy third studio album ‘Timeless’ which apparently wasn’t met with the desired pomp. However, she is showing herself back to form in this urban street-style sound of music that is magically riffed with chords from an electric bass guitar and saccharined with the velvety tones of the smooth-singing Boy Kizz.

The mid tempo-ed rendition is one that will be welcomed with a shocking excitement as “Me Ke” is a sonorous blend of singing that was perhaps never thought of or imagined. With the kind of presence that Omawumi commands with her mezzo soprano vocals, ideally, Kizz Daniel‘s voice should be relegated to the background, but no! He’s loud, clear and stunting with that award-winning vocal swag to complement Ms Megbele’s high notes.

You see, sounds like this justify the reason why the Boy Kiss should have even left his former music label earlier than he already did. Because now, there’s impressing evidence as to the incredible genius in his talent versatility. Omawumi on the hand remains untouchable as she stays seated high in her strata of class, as a composer, singer and performer.

Me Ke is the first single off her forthcoming EP.

The video was shot by ace visual director, Unlimited LA.

Social media accounts of “Yeba” crooner Kiss Daniel are now sporting a new look.

Although it is not clear when the changes were made, it was noticed on Tuesday morning that the singer has changed his Instagram handle from iamkissdaniel to iamkizzdaniel.

While his Twitter handle still remains @iamkissdaniel, his name has been changed to Kizz Daniel.

New Spotify and Apple Music accounts have also been created with the names Kizz Daniel, the two of them with his new songs featured.

Also, on Omawumi‘s new song “Me Ke,” on which he is featured, he is listed as Kizz Daniel.

Although no statement has been released concerning the change of name, it is suspected that it is due to the legal battles he is currently embroiled in with his former record label G-Worldwide Entertainment.

Omawumi

Nigerian singer, Omawumi has revealed to us how bothered she used to get whenever an award ceremony is about to take place and her name is nowhere on the nomination list.

This was revealed at the Headies 2018 on the 5th of May when the talented singer won the award for Best Vocal Performer (Female). The singer during her speech said she always wondered how her name hardly ever comes up in award nomination lists especially in the female category and how it made her doubt her womanhood, asking herself if she was a man without knowing.

The speech started with;

“…anytime wey dem do this nomination and dem no add me, I go begin think say I bin get blockos… maybe i no be woman again…”

That shows us how much the singer-songwriter has been looking forward to a day like this where she is awarded for the good work she puts into her songs to create those vibes we love from her.

Omawumi who has been in the Nigeria music industry since 2007 has had just three nominations and this is her first win for her new single, Butterflies and we are hoping more awards come after this.

Gbenga Artsmith’s NECKTAR Collection promotes Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month with Celebrities & Media Personalities

Cosmopolitan jewelry brand, Gbenga Artsmith, presents “NECKTAR,” its first collection for 2018 which is green-themed in commemoration of Cerebral Palsy

Cosmopolitan jewelry brand, Gbenga Artsmith, presents “NECKTAR,” its first collection for 2018 which is green-themed in commemoration of Cerebral Palsy awareness month. The socially-conscious brand brought together 17 celebrities and influencers from different walks of life to lend their voices to cerebral palsy, a congenital disorder of movement, muscle tone and posture. The lookbook features stars like Omawumi and Jodie, media personalities like Bolanle Olukanni and BellaNaija‘s Eki Ogunbor, fashion designers, consultants and many more – who all looked stunning rocking chic jewelry pieces handcrafted from semi-precious stones and non-tarnish findings. Each piece was created with the personalities of the wearers in mind.

Along with the lookbook, Gbenga Artsmith also released a compelling video documentary, “Same Cast, Different Script,” which chronicles the challenges and victories of cerebral Palsy warriors (as they choose to call people living with the condition) and their loved ones. The documentary is as enlightening as it is inspiring!

It is interesting to note that all the pieces were created by disadvantaged young women from Makoko who are presently interning with Gbenga Artsmith. Towards the cause, 10% of the proceeds from the sale of pieces from the “NECKTAR” collection will go to select Cerebral Palsy foundations. As it is an incurable condition that reconstructive surgeries cannot correct, the only available option is to make life beautiful and convenient for the underprivileged people living with cerebral palsy. The pieces can be purchased on Gbenga Artsmith’s online store, www.artsmithcollections.com.
