Linda Ikeji was born Linda Ifeoma Ikeji on September 19th, 1980. She was born and raised in a Catholic family from Nkwerre, Imo State like most families in the south-eastern part of Nigeria. She is the second child of her family. Linda started writing fictional stories at the tender age of ten. Her love for newscasting and interviews were also very evident, it was only right that she follow the same career path. After finishing her secondary education at 17, she enrolled in the University of Lagos at the age of 18. Her desire to study Mass Communication were crushed when she was admitted to study the English Language instead. Considering the fact that Linda Ikeji wasn’t born with a silver spoon, from the age of 17 she started shouldering some of her family’s responsibilities. After graduating from the University of Lagos in 2004, Linda Ikeji set up her own modeling agency called named Black Dove Communications, a name inspired by Silverbird. The business did not yield much profit, this led her to start blogging as a hobby in 2006. Back then the internet was not prominent in Nigeria hence, her blog posts were made from a cybercafe. Her most successful venture, Linda Ikeji’s Blog started out on BlogSpot and she proceeded to secure her own domain name. Linda Ikeji was the biggest Google Search trend in Nigeria for 2014. The name Linda Ikeji was the most searched item by users of Google in Nigeria.
